Vaccinations

The Danish Childhood Vaccination Programme recommends vaccinating your child against diseases that may be serious and cause permanent injury and, in the worst case, be fatal. 

The purpose of the vaccination programme is to protect not only your child but also other children. If your child is vaccinated, it cannot pass the infection on another child.

The Danish childhood vaccination programme protects your child against the following ten diseases:

 

• Diphtheria
• Tetanus
• Whooping cough (pertussis)
• Polio
• Meningitis and epiglottitis caused by Haemophilus influenza type b (Hib)
• Meningitis and other serious diseases caused by pneumococci
• Measles
• Mumps
• RubellaCervical cancer and other HPV related cancers

The vaccinations are free of charge, and participation is voluntary.
