Danish Childhood Vaccination Programme
In Denmark, we vaccinate against a number of diseases that can potentially be serious if you become infected. The childhood vaccination programme protects the individual child against serious infectious diseases and at the same time prevents the spread of infection in society. In this way, the many vaccinated children protect the few who cannot be vaccinated because they are either too young or cannot tolerate it.
The Danish Health Authority administers the Danish childhood vaccination programme and provides professional recommendations to the Minister of Health on which vaccines to include in the programme.
