16 DEC 2021

Home nursing has an important role in the primary healthcare system, but there is a lack of knowledge about organization and challenges of home nursing. Therefore, the Nordic Council of Ministers has granted the Danish Health Authority funds to create this report.

The report focuses on the trends regarding tasks and competence requirement, cross-sectorial cooperation, welfare technology and patient involvement. Furthermore, current challenges in the Nordic countries and examples of solutions to meet these challenges are illustrated in the report.

The goal is to establish a basis for a Nordic discussion by giving an insight into the similarities and differences amongst the Nordic countries.
